Figging

Figging (probably from the English word ‘to feague’, meaning to whip or drive) is a sexual practice in which a peeled ginger root is inserted. The ginger root is peeled and carved into a shape that resembles a plug. The root is then inserted into the anus, and in women also into the vagina. Ginger contains essential oils that irritate the receptors of the mucous membranes.
