Stone Butch
The term stone butch can be used in two ways:
- Stone butch can be used for lesbians who are sexually dominant and do not want to be touched on the genitals during intercourse. This is independent of gender presentation.
- However, the term is also often used for a butch who exhibits particularly masculine behaviour and character traits as well as a masculine appearance.
The term stone butch became known primarily through Leslie Feinberg's book Stone Butch Blues. Some stone butches categorise themselves as belonging to the asexual spectrum.
