Lacquer is also a component of the LLL (lacquer, leather, latex) anchored in BDSM. Leather was initially the sole symbol of the BDSM scene, but has been supplemented over the years by latex and, above all, vinyl clothing. Vinyl outfits are becoming increasingly popular due to their unmistakable lustre and the intense feeling they evoke in both the wearer and the observer. Anyone who wears them is immediately categorised as belonging to the bizarre erotic world of BDSM. Many are therefore reluctant to wear their private clothing in public in order to avoid being immediately stigmatised. However, more and more scene clubs are opening in which such outfits are also considered good form. Well-known fashion designers are also trying out daring outfits again and again, thus increasing the acceptance of patent fashion.
