CAFAB

The abbreviation CAFAB stands for coercively assigned female at birth, i.e. forcibly assigned to the female sex at birth. This term is mainly used by intersex people who were assigned to the female sex at birth and underwent surgery without their consent. However, it can also be used by trans people to express that they were assigned to a gender they do not feel they belong to because of their genitalia.
